JOINT STATEMENT OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEEs
PRESIDENT AND ACTING SUPERINTENDENT

Yesterday, at the regularly scheduled board meeting on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the Franklin
Independent School District Board of Trustees approved Superintendent of Schools Russell
White’s request for administrative leave.
“The Board of Trustees fully supports Superintendent Russell White and his request for
administrative leave,” said Board President Justin Kleiber. “Our decision was made with careful
consideration and with the best interest of our students, staff, and the entire Franklin ISD
community. We are confident this transition will allow us to maintain the strong momentum and
educational excellence our district is known for.”
The District fully supports Mr. White’s request for leave. We appreciate his many contributions
to our students, staff, and community, and we remain committed to supporting him during this
time.
To ensure continuity of leadership and maintain a strong focus on our core mission of educating
students, the Board has named Ms. Laci Rasberry as Acting Superintendent of Schools, effective
immediately.
“I join the Board in fully supporting Superintendent White during this time,” said Ms. Rasberry.
“The priority for all of us remains the best interest of Franklin ISD. I am honored to serve as
Acting Superintendent and am committed to leading with continuity, stability, and a focus on
academic excellence and student success.”
Ms. Rasberry is a highly experienced and respected leader within our district, and we are
confident in her ability to guide our schools smoothly through this transition while upholding the
high standards and values that define Franklin ISD.
We ask for your continued dedication to our students and your support for Ms. Rasberry and the
entire administrative team as we move forward. Day-to-day operations will continue without
interruption, and we will keep you informed of any relevant updates as appropriate.
